“With the 100% aluminum, powder-coated paint, it doesn’t move over time.”
Clim’ Var Froid, created in 1988 and based in Le Muy (83), has been one of DEOCLIM’s loyal customers since 2017. Jérémie Passarelli has worked there for 15 years and today welcomes us to the premises of this air conditioning and heating company to tell us about their work and their daily life with DECOCLIM products. Watch the highlights of the video below!
Why do your customers choose to install a DECOCLIM air conditioning cover?
What we really like is aluminum because there is no maintenance, it is lighter, the depth is adjustable as standard. It’s easier to edit and above all the fact that it ages well. Because we are a lot by the sea, there is salinity. With the 100% aluminum, powder-coated paint, it doesn't change over time.
New colors were released this year for our DECOCLIM to meet the demands of our customers. What do you think?
The colors can be nice since they match the color of the facade a little. The new red RAL 2012, it's true that it goes relatively well for houses that are made of bricks, or even on roofs, on tiles directly.
On the wood side, it's not bad, because there are sometimes where co-ownerships require wood, visually wood color, but the clients, it bothers them a little because there is a little more maintenance. So, it's not bad when it comes out in aluminum.
We have noticed that DECOCLIM can also be a solution for other customer problems. Have you had similar cases on your side?
Yes, every time I am told on small balconies, we can pose, we can do this. When they don't have a lot of space, that's understandable. With the top cover being reinforced with a full length metal bar, much more weight can now be placed. It's tougher. We realized that a lot of people, when it was on small terraces or other things, used it as a side table to place a plancha, flower pots or things like that.
How many air conditioning covers do you install per year on average?
I have to do around 200-300 projects per year. For DECOCLIM, on individuals, we must be at 10%, roughly speaking, who put group caches. Afterwards, it's true, it's still like everything else. Sometimes, we will do series where all week long, we will place a cache group by group. Afterwards, for 15 days, there are no more because it is very random.
What are the advantages for an installer of using an air conditioning cover?
Two points. It's aesthetic. And then, sometimes, there is no even need to ask the question because it is obligatory by the co-ownership. We put a group cache, at least it's all finished. And then, when we come back to the installation, we look, it’s perfect. There is a group, the cover, it's a nice finish. Word of mouth works a lot. The neighbor, when he comes to look, he says to himself “ah yes, it’s perfect, the group cover, it looks clean, it’s finished”. So, that’s why I find it a sales aid. And it feels satisfying. We look at the installation, it's clean.
And then, often, it's a good compromise. Putting a group further away perhaps means chutes or cuts, work behind it. So, we simplify things, with the group cache, it works well. It really hides everything with louvered slats while respecting the air flow. And then, people who don't know don't know that there is air conditioning behind it.
We have also made available to professionals and individuals a calculation module to simplify their choice. Are you used to using it?
Yes, completely. As soon as I have a little doubt, I go to the site, enter the dimensions and then it gives me the group directly. It's very well done, at least there are no errors. It's done in two seconds. I also use the site to show, even if we have small color charts for customers. I tell them: “Here, see if you like a color in it. »
Thank you very much to Jérémie and the team at Clim' Var Froid, located in Le Muy (83), for opening their doors to us and for their loyalty!
